I feel in my heart a great desire to give myself to God in the monastic life, specifically in the monastic life. I am a Roman Catholic, I have been living monastic experiences as the Western rite, but I have filled the soul. And I confess that, once discovered Byzantine spirituality, I was plunged deeper into my soul ... I'd love one day, if God allows it, get to know ... It's all ....

I have heard the songs sung by Valaam monks for the first time a few days ago and i have listened to it over and over again. The Agni Parthene is the most beautifull thing i have ever heard in my life... May the Lord bless the Valaam monastery and all of its brethren!

Hi monks and brothers. I have lot of respect for everything that you are doing with your lives. Jesus Christ is worth it. I often dream of what my life would be like if I lived in a monastery on Mount Athos. I am a Roman Catholic who is very interested in Orthodoxy. I am trying to read as much as I can about monastic life, lives of the saints, & theology. Please, if any monks want to write me letters (pen & paper letters, not e-mails!)
